Mountain Lake Electric was established in November 1972. The main thrust of the business since then has been electrical work in industrial plants in and around Bradford County in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Although the bulk of the work has been within 75 miles of the home office, located in Towanda, PA, projects have also been accomplished in New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky in the United States. There was also a project completed in Northern Mexico.

   Most of the jobs between a half million and a million dollars have been in industry wiring automated production lines such as coating lines, composite lumber processing, and an automobile parts foundry. Another project of that size was the renovation of and an addition to an elementary school. Industrial wiring is the company's forte with some projects being larger as previously noted, but there are also service trucks locally to handle residential and commercial customers, from changing a light switch or installing a metered service to adding a phone jack.

   The employees are very knowledgeable and the core employees have extensive training and many years of experience. The owner, James Good, has an Associates Degree in Electrical Technology.

   Safety is a major part of the daily routine of every employee. The various industries have high safety standards and the employees participate in those programs as well as the normal weekly toolbox talk.
